Fat Mama! Pt.1

I read recent FB post from one of my dear friend, complaining about her weight gained after second child which is only 3 months old. Well, don't we all mommy have that sort of problem as well. I really understand her frustration because as a mother of two i been through the same ordeal as well. Sometime i wonder, i am doing something good here by getting pregnant, carrying my lil' baby inside me for 9 months but why do i get this massive weight gain and stretch mark in return? Why don't God just give me even more fabulous body & skin after giving birth as a token of appreciation? Well come to think of it, i guess if that the rewards sure berlambak pompuan berlumba-lumba nak pregnant even yang belum kawin kan?? LOL!

Ok, the reason for my post is that i want to share my weight gain story before and after giving birth, from first to second child. I will break it into 2 parts. First part is this post, my first born experience. I gerenti ramai ibu-ibu suka this kind of post right? So if you like my post why don't you make one post about this and let me read as well..boleh?

Like i've been telling numerous time, i always been chubby and fatter than most of my friends and family. So when i was pregnant with my first child my main concern was how heavy i will be after this. Nevertheless i still eat like a monster during pregnancy. I am the kind of person whom lepas geram makan banyak-banyak time pregnant pasal alasan pregnant & eat for 2! I gained closed to 20kg and look like a 'pau'. The pic below is a proof of my food investment.

7 months pregnant. Ugly & fat kan? Look at the nose, mcm smurf! *LOL*

After safely delivered my son, Adam i instantly lost close to 10kgs! I was in shocked when i weighed in at the hospital before checking out. So still about another 10kgs to lose. At that time i was thinking, "Aah, senang je to lose during pantang coz i will be restrained to eat anything i like". Well, manatau during pantang period i was constantly hungry due to breastfeeding and i found the pantang food  delicious as well (maybe because it was cooked by my dearest mak). In the end, only shed off 5kgs and still 5kgs hanging. Pic below was how i look then:
Macam gambar 'sebelum' slimming program yg kt TV tu pulak kan? haha
Chunky arm, thunder thighs, round face! Sama bulat dgn si Adam!

The excess 5kgs still bothering me because i couldn't fit into most of my clothes especially my pants. I weighed around 70-75kgs that time! Tried dieting but hard at first because i was breastfeeding you see, selalu lapar dan kalau kurang makan kurang la susu. I carried the 5kgs till my son was about 10 months old, then i started with a strict diet of no rice & dinner after 7pm. The diet went on for almost a year. Not easy okay! I was constantly hungry and calculating my calories intake (i consume less than 1000 per day, normal person need 1500-2000). My hard work paid of as i did lose weight, lots of it and more than what i aimed.  Averagely i lost total 10kgs and i look younger ( i rasala..hehe). Lots of people around me compliment of my new body and some asking tips, i was ecstatic and enjoy everything about it! Enjoy my slim pictures below. Kali ni banyak sket gambar coz maklum la dah slim so banyak la gambar posing!

Raya pose. Been long time since i wear kebaya so had to give special pose!
See, no obvious 'love handles' or 'muffin top' that always bothering me!

This was my most skinniest. I think i weigh about 58kgs (total  lost 12kgs).
Honestly i don't like looking like this, nampak macam tak sihat je!
I even experimenting new hairstyles by cutting it short.

Haihh..looking at above pictures buat i lagi susah hati tengok badan sekarang. Bila la nak slim balik! Kenangkan seksa diet tu buat terbantut impian. Ok, to be continued on next post where i will tell you about my weight issues up to date after delivered my 2nd child.

Eventful

Been days since my last post. Some eventful stuff happened and worth blogging for. First is my 5th wedding anniversary. 5 years of sharing love and fruits of our marriage, our 2 wonderful children. All these years, not even once we had big arguments to the point of not talking to each other or holding grudges. Him being understanding and the silent ones, while me being the emotional and tolerance ones. We shared the same jokes and can share almost everything,i can safely say that my husband is the best friend i ever have! Thank you for being a wonderful husband and even wonderful father to our children. I love you and wish we stay this way if not, better forever. So on that particular day we celebrated our special day dining at Serai in Empire Mall, Subang. It was our second time there. Apart from our lil' girl knocked off my drinks and drenched the stroller, we had a wonderful night eating great foods. Below are some pictures for memory. But i did not captured much pictures only some of my children, no food picture coz we ate the same thing as i told here and also sorry, no picca of the loving couples! Too shy to ask someone else to take our pic, the waiters were very busy! ;P

My drink on the right, before toppled over by Dania
Dah kenyang, saje je nak camwhore dalam kereta :P

Second, is our Malacca trip during recent weekends. On our trip to Malacca, we were stuck in massive jam along the highway. What supposed to be 2 hours journey became 6 hours journey, macam nak balik my kampung kat Alor Star pulak. When we finally arrived Malacca, the time was almost 6pm and we were starving coz we haven't had our lunch yet. Quickly checked in our hotel and search for food. It was our first time staying at Equatorial Hotel, usually we just opt for a 3 stars hotel due to budget constrains. The last time i stayed at 5 stars hotel was when i vacationed with my family (coz daddy pays). The hotel was great, clean and everything is top notch. Even the breakfast buffet were delicious. Well, some of you might think 'Eleh, kampung sungguh minah ni, besala tu dok hotel'..not that it was new experience to me or that i want to brag, i just want to tell how impressive the hotel was to me & family since it was my first time with hubby & kids staying at such place. So when you in Malacca, your usual must visit spot is ofcourse Jonker Street right? So we went there at night. Had a long walk over there and only purchased embellished slippers for myself, nothing interesting that worth buying. The next day we headed over to a wedding, the actual reason why we were in Malacca. Here are some pictures.

Stuck in the car for almost 6hrs, muka Dania pun dah masam!

The hotel we stayed

A beautiful pool that we did not have a chance to swim or dip. Thanks to the  massive road jam!
Dania so excited to discover a huge bed for her to roll over!
The room, my husband fell in love with the chair. Nak angkut balik katanya!
The cookie jars are so tempting!
At Jonker St, choosing the right slippers

Dania love looking at herself in the mirror. You are so vain, darling!
This was his happy pose
Had fun with this old-skool balloon (not sure what to call it)

Finally the wedding we came to celebrate. I was not in the pic coz Dania was having tantrum due to the heat. Congratulations to both Manshor & Azeq!
Lastly, a tregedy..aiseh tragedy konon..such a drama queen! On last Monday, i tripped over step of stairs at my apartment (i live on 4th flr, no elevator). At that time i was ready to go to work. While on the way stepping down the stairs, carrying my Dania, i missed a step, landed on my left foot and thuddd..i jatuh terduduk! I can barely walk after that, not even stand properly with my two feet. Long story short, went to the doc and this is how my left foot looked:

Got 3 days of MC (yayy!). On first day i had to hop around with my right foot like a fat rabbit..not easy okay! Second day was better, can walk but hardly. Third day was almost fine, but still couldn't walk properly but i took the opportunity of the off day to bring my car for a wash, shopped at Giant and had lunch with my kids at Paparich (i did not send the kids to their nanny, sunyi dok rumah sorang2). Now i am already at work and 95% well. My feet still swell a little, the pain is bearable but still painful to walk down the stairs and perform my solat. I guess it will be ok in few days.

Ahh..end of my long merepek post. Thanks for reading..have a nice day!

Die Young

I was in shocked when i received sms from my sister, informing that one of my cousins had just died in a car accident. She was only 19, a UiTM student and a cheerful & talkative girl eventhough i wasn't very close to her, only Facebook keep us connected as she constantly updating her status. The news made me sad and it is hard for me to continue sleeping after that.

Any news of someone's death is a shock, but a death of someone dies at young age makes me even more heart wrenched. I lost someone very close to me last year, he was only 19, at prime of his age when teenagers his age enjoying young & care-less life and he was such a happy lad before he was ill. He was my brother, the youngest among us sibling and also the only boy. After almost a year battled with Wegener's Granulomatosis, an auto-immune disease that has no cure up to date. I won't go into details how he suffered through his sickness as that will only drained me in tears (i am already in tear while typing this).

People says those who die young are lucky because they won't be collecting sins as they live because Allah knows how much someone can gained sins and do bad things in a lifetime. But ofcourse we don't go wishing to die young, it doesn't work that way. Alhamdulillah for the life given to us. How long we gonna live is Allah's work, we can't control that. What we can control is the way we live our life. Life is too short to create hatred,  to have negative thoughts or to skip our solat for petty matters.

Seeing people die young it makes me wonder when is my time. People that i love around me, will they grow old with me? It makes me appreciate them, appreciate my life and thank Allah for every chance & time i got to spend with them. Because i never know when mine or their time is up and i refuse to have regrets when it is too late.
